Sign a PDF online, without uploading it anywhere

Sign PDF Online adds your signature to a PDF in your browser. Draw it with a finger or mouse, type it and pick a handwriting style, or upload a photo of a signature you already have on paper. Place it where it belongs, add the date, initials or a tick where needed, and download the signed file.

The document never leaves your device. It is opened and rewritten by your own browser, so the contract, agreement or form you are signing is not uploaded to anyone's server — which is the whole point when the paperwork is confidential.

What you can add to a document

Getting a signature that looks right

If you are uploading a photograph, sign in black ink on plain white paper, photograph it straight on in daylight, and crop close. A grey, angled photo of a signature looks exactly like what it is. If you are drawing, a finger on a phone gives a rounder, less natural line than a stylus — signing slowly usually looks worse, not better, because real signatures are fast.

Keep the signature proportionate to the text around it. An oversized signature across half a page is the commonest giveaway that a document was signed on a screen by someone in a hurry.
