Track staff attendance and salary without a register

A paper register can’t add up overtime or calculate salary. Your phone can — here’s how to make the switch.

If you employ even a handful of people — in a shop, a workshop, a clinic or a small factory — the month-end salary calculation is a headache. You count present days from a register, subtract leaves, guess the overtime, and hope the maths is right. A digital attendance app removes all of that: mark attendance daily, and the monthly salary is calculated for you.

What to track each day

Good attendance records come down to a few simple statuses per person, per day:

How monthly salary is worked out

Once each day is marked, the calculation follows naturally:

Example: Monthly salary ₹12,000 (30-day month = ₹400/day). An employee has 26 present, 1 half-day, 2 holidays, 1 unpaid absence. Payable days = 26 + 2 + 0.5 = 28.5 → ₹11,400, plus 5 OT hours at ₹100 = ₹500, minus a ₹1,000 advance = ₹10,900. The app does this instantly for every person.

Do it on your phone

  1. Add your staff with their monthly salary or daily wage.
  2. Mark attendance daily — one tap per person: present, half, absent or leave.
  3. Log overtime and advances as they happen.
  4. Review the monthly sheet — payable days and salary, calculated automatically.
  5. Share the salary sheet with each worker so it’s transparent.
