The short version
Patra keeps your data on your device. Your saved "Your details" profile, your in-progress drafts and the documents you build are all stored in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. They are never sent to any server, there is no account system, and we cannot see your data.
What Patra stores, and where
- Your details profile — the sender name, business/organisation, address, phone and email you enter once and reuse on every template's letterhead.
- Your drafts — the field values for the template you are working on, auto-saved so you don't lose your work.
- A theme preference — whether you chose light or dark mode.
All of the above is stored using your browser's localStorage on your own device. None of it is transmitted to us or anyone else. There is no login, no sync and no cloud backup. If you open Patra on a different device or browser, your data will not be there, because it never left the first one.
What we do not collect
- We do not require your name, email or phone — anything you type is for your own document and stays local.
- We do not upload, transmit or store the documents you create on any server.
- We do not sell or share your information, because we do not have it.
Advertising and cookies
Patra is supported by a small ad on the page, served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. These cookies are used by Google, not by Patra, and they do not have access to the details or documents stored in your browser's local storage. The ad is also hidden from the printed PDF. You can learn more and manage your choices at Google's Ads Privacy page, and control cookies through your browser settings.
How to clear your data
You are always in control:
- Use the "Reset" button inside any template to clear that document's draft.
- Clear your browser's site data / local storage for this site through your browser settings to remove everything, including your saved details.
- Uninstalling the app (if you added it to your home screen) and clearing site data removes everything.
Not legal advice
Patra provides document formats for convenience. It is not legal advice. For agreements, affidavits, notices or anything with legal consequences, please consult a qualified professional and use the correct stamp paper or notarisation where required.
Children
Patra is intended for general use and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, as it stores nothing on a server.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
