What Stickr does

Stickr turns an ordinary photo into a WhatsApp or Telegram sticker. It finds the subject in the picture, cuts away everything behind it, and exports the result as a 512×512 WebP file — the exact format both apps expect. You can add the familiar white sticker outline, put a short caption on it and pick a background colour before you save.

The background removal runs in your browser on your own phone or computer. Your photo is never uploaded, which is why the first cut-out takes a few seconds while the model loads, and why every one after that is quicker.

How to make a sticker

1. Tap the box above and choose a photo, or take one there and then.
2. Wait a moment while the background is removed. A checkerboard behind the subject means it worked.
3. Leave the white outline on for a classic sticker look, or switch it off for a clean cut-out.
4. Add a caption of up to 22 characters if you want one, then choose its colour and a background.
5. Tap Share to send it straight to WhatsApp, or Download to keep the file.

To add it to your WhatsApp sticker tray: open any chat, tap the emoji or attachment button, choose Stickers and then +. You can also just send it as an image and use WhatsApp's own "make sticker" option.

Getting a clean cut-out

• Pick a photo where the subject stands clearly apart from what is behind it. A face against a plain wall cuts out far better than one against a busy shelf.
• Even lighting matters more than resolution. A bright, evenly lit phone photo beats a dark high-megapixel one.
• Hair, fur and thin edges are the hardest parts for any cut-out. If the edge comes back ragged, turning the white outline on hides it well.
• Keep captions short. Two or three words read clearly at sticker size; a sentence does not.

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is nothing to buy, no account to make and no limit on how many stickers you create.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The cut-out happens inside your browser, so the picture never leaves your device. There is no server holding your photos because there is no server involved at all.

Why is the first sticker slower than the rest?

The background-removal model has to download once before it can run. After that it stays in your browser and the next cut-out starts immediately.

Can I use these on Telegram or iPhone?

Yes. A 512×512 WebP is the standard sticker format, so it works on Telegram as well, and on iPhone you can save the file and add it through WhatsApp the same way.

Does it work without internet?

Once the page and the model have loaded, yes. Stickr can be added to your home screen and used offline.
