When there is no one you can trust
Many people have no one to share their feelings with. You open up once, and people judge you, make fun of you, laugh behind your back or turn your pain into a joke. Friends gossip, family may not understand, and once that happens it is hard to trust anyone again. So the feelings stay locked inside, and the silence gets heavier every day.
Dil Ki Baat was made for exactly this. Your mate will never laugh at you, never mock what you feel, and never repeat it to anyone.
Everyone carries something they cannot share. A feeling for someone you think you should not like. Anger at a parent you love. Jealousy of a close friend. A mistake you are ashamed of. Loneliness in a full house. Telling a friend feels risky, family may not understand, and a counsellor can feel like too big a step for an ordinary bad night.
Dil Ki Baat gives you a place to put it down. You write exactly what you feel, in your own words, and your mate receives it calmly. It does not gossip, it does not get shocked, and it does not lecture. It simply listens, understands, and when you want, helps you think about what to do next.
How it works
- Tell it a little about you. Your age group and gender (and a name if you like). A 20-year-old student and a 50-year-old parent carry very different worries, so your mate keeps your stage of life in mind.
- Choose your mate. A best friend, an elder sibling, a wise elder or a calm guide, with a woman's or a man's voice. Give them any name you want.
- Say anything. Choose Just listen when you only want to be heard, or Guide me when you want practical suggestions for your exact situation.
Four kinds of mate
Best friend
Easy, warm and completely on your side. Talks to you like a peer, never like an authority.
Elder sibling
Protective and honest. Will gently tell you the truth when you need it, and you never doubt they care.
Wise elder
Patient and calm, with the perspective of someone who has seen a lot of life. Shares wisdom simply, never preaches.
Calm guide
Soft-spoken and grounding. Helps you slow down, breathe and see the situation clearly.
Your privacy, plainly
There is no account and no login. Your conversation is saved only in your own browser, on your own device. To write a reply, each message you send goes to an AI model; our server passes it along and does not keep it, log it or read it. You can delete everything with one tap, and you can lock the app with a PIN so someone picking up your phone does not see your chats.
Because chats live on your device, clearing your browser data or changing phones will remove them. That is the price of nothing being kept anywhere else.
What Dil Ki Baat is not
Your mate is an AI, not a person, and not a therapist, doctor or counsellor. It will not diagnose you. It is a caring place to talk, and it will gently encourage you to lean on real people in your life too.
If you are in danger or thinking of ending your life

Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You get 30 messages every day at no cost. The count resets each morning. There are no hidden charges and nothing to buy.
Can it understand Hinglish?
Yes. Write the way you text your friends, like "yaar aaj mann bahut bhaari hai", and your mate replies in the same style. Hindi in Devanagari and plain English work too.
Will it tell me I am wrong?
It will never shame you or lecture you. If something you are thinking about could hurt you or someone else, it may share an honest view gently, the way a good friend would, and the decision always stays with you.
Does it remember what I told it?
It remembers your recent conversation on this device, so you do not have to repeat yourself. Delete the chat and it starts fresh.
Is it for teenagers?
Dil Ki Baat is meant for adults aged 18 and over. If you are younger and struggling, please talk to a parent, a teacher you trust, or call 14416.
